| A Young Woman Engages In Heavy And Hazardous Drinking And Receives First-Rate Help At An Alcohol Rehab Clinic For Alcohol Withdrawals And Symptoms Of Alcoholism Beth was the mother of five children. Beth had been feeling very stressed out lately and began to "medicate" herself by having two or three shots of whiskey each evening after she tucked her children into bed. After around eleven weeks of this drinking routine, she at long last realized that rather than helping her calm down and "handle" her issues, drinking made her feel less rested when she awakened. This, in turn, made her feel increasingly more anxious all through the day. After thinking about her situation for a few weeks, Beth made up her mind to "open up" about her problem drinking with her closest friend. In fact, about twenty minutes into their chat, Beth's friend Eve, told her that she knew about an extremely experienced and competent psychiatrist at the local alcohol and drug rehabilitation facility. After talking to her closest friend, Beth almost instantly got motivated to call the rehab center and make an appointment. Seven days later she eventually got to meet the psychiatrist her best friend had talked about. After their brief introduction, Beth explained to the psychiatrist that ever since her former husband and she divorced one another, she has been having an extremely difficult time spiritually, financially, and psychologically. As Beth was talking to the doctor, she underlined the point that she frankly believed that Robert and she dated long enough to know each other good enough before they got married. After the children started to arrive, however, their lives seemed to get worse. Not only this but both Robert and she started to drink, and their excessive and hazardous drinking adversely impacted their finances, their love for one another, and their relationship. The psychiatrist explained to Beth that the alcohol poisoning symptoms she has been going through are due to her unhealthy drinking. The psychiatrist also told Beth that her alcohol withdrawal symptoms are some of the common symptoms of alcoholism and that the most productive solution for this is alcohol rehabilitation. After spending five months in residential alcohol rehab, Beth was slowly but surely able to see that the main root of her anxiety and her depression was that she had not resolved her resentful feelings she has for her ex-husband who had divorced her. In a word, Beth let these feelings disturb her to such an extent that she became a person addicted to alcohol. Armed with these insights and with the medications her psychiatrist prescribed, she finally refrained from drinking, she started to feel substantially less depressed, and she started making more time for social events with her friends and family. What is more, a few months after receiving treatment from her psychiatrist, she even started to date once again. It was clear that Beth had certainly come a long way. In fact, just about eight months after she stopped her treatment, Beth had finally laid the negative thoughts of her former husband to rest and was starting to feel better about herself and more spiritually"alive" and psychologically "with it" than she had ever felt in her adult life.
